Zynterra Ltd. Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 April 2026
We, Zynterra Ltd. ("the Company", "we", "us", "our"), in our capacity as a personal-data controller, use various technologies — such as "cookies" — to enhance your experience when using our website ("the Website"), application or any similar online and/or offline platform (together, the "Platform") provided for use in a digital environment.
Zynterra operates a Platform that includes the zynterra web application and the zynterra POS mobile application (iOS / Android), enabling merchants to create and manage online stores and to process in-person payments. In this context, zynterra acts in two distinct capacities under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR"):
- As a personal-data controller — for the personal data we collect and use for our own purposes (e.g. data of visitors to our website, holders of merchant accounts, billing, platform security).
- As a personal-data processor — for the personal data that merchants' customers enter through the merchants' online stores. In that case the merchant is the personal-data controller, and zynterra processes such data on the merchant's behalf and in accordance with the merchant's instructions.
You can find more information about zynterra's different roles in the processing of personal data in the Privacy Policy of the Website.

We do not share information stored in cookies with third parties without your express consent.
The use of such technologies is carried out in compliance with the legal provisions to which we are subject, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC ("GDPR").
We use the processing and storage capabilities of your end device's browser and collect information from its memory for various purposes, such as improving the operation of our website, personalising content, providing social-media features, analysing our traffic, and providing better access to merchants (third parties) who also use our Website.
This Cookie Policy provides information about the identity of the personal-data controller, the purposes for which cookies are collected when using the Platform, and the means by which they may be managed.
Our Cookie Policy is an integral part of our Privacy Policy. For that reason, please read the information provided in both policies carefully.
You can refuse all the cookies we use on our Website, in the Platform, and in our application, except for the necessary cookies.
Other personal-data controllers may also be involved in the processing if third-party cookies are used. For more information, please see Section 6 below.
1. Identity of the personal-data controller
As the owner and administrator of the Website, Zynterra Ltd., a Bulgarian company registered under the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, entered in the Commercial Register under UIC 208066407, with registered office at Sofia Park, Block 121, Apt. 3, 1766 Sofia, is the personal-data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation / GDPR), and as such administers your personal data processed through the use of cookies.
If you have any questions, comments or complaints in connection with this Cookie Policy or the data-processing operations described herein, please do not hesitate to contact us at the office addresses indicated, or by email at: support@zynterra.com.
Cookies placed in merchants' stores within the Platform or outside it are the responsibility of the relevant merchant (as personal-data controller); see Section 3 below for details.
2. What are "cookies"
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to ensure the effective operation of websites, to provide information to website administrators, and to improve the user experience.
Similar technologies include pixel tags, web beacons, local storage, and session storage. In this Policy we use "cookies" to refer to all these technologies collectively.
3. How we collect and use cookies and on what basis
3.1. Types of cookies according to their origin
(a) First-party cookies: As the name suggests, first-party cookies are files stored on your device directly by our platforms.
(b) Third-party cookies: This type of cookie is stored on your device not by the platforms you visit, but by third parties engaged in data analytics and advertising.
3.2. Strictly necessary cookies
Cookies collected during your visits to our application or our Website which are technically necessary for the operation of the Website's core functions (necessary cookies) are processed on the basis of the necessity of performing the contract for use of the website (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Cookies collected for functional, statistical and marketing purposes may be collected only with your express consent.
The personal data collected through cookies that relate to you may be shared with our suppliers only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Cookie Policy and in compliance with the law.
- Session cookies — maintain your authenticated session so that you do not need to log in again on every page.
- CSRF-protection cookies — protect against cross-site request forgery attacks.
- Load-balancing cookies — ensure efficient distribution of requests across our servers.
- Cookie preference — remembers your cookie-consent choice.
3.3. Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable personalisation of the services offered on our Website and in the application by remembering your preferences and choices made when using them. For example, they allow us to remember the language you selected or the font size for given content.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this case is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
These cookies provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They are not strictly necessary, but they improve your experience. They include:
- Language preference — remembers the language you selected.
- Admin-panel settings — remember your preferences for dashboard layout, sidebar state, table-column settings.
- Interface preferences — remember display settings such as theme or display mode.
3.4. Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website and Platform so that we can improve them. They collect information such as:
- Pages visited and features used.
- Time spent on pages.
- Errors encountered.
- General usage patterns.
Analytics data are collected in anonymised or aggregated form. We do not use analytics cookies to identify individual users or to build personal profiles.
3.5. Marketing cookies and statistical cookies
zynterra does not place marketing or advertising cookies on its own website or Platform by default.
Merchants, however, may activate third-party marketing integrations (e.g. Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics) in their individual stores. In such cases the merchant is the personal-data controller for those cookies, and the merchant is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from visitors to its store.
When a merchant activates third-party tracking scripts (such as Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics) in its store, zynterra provides the technical means to add them as part of the Platform's functionality. The merchant is the controller of the data collected through such scripts. We provide only the technical means for their use and do not access or process the data collected.
4. Third-party cookies
The following third parties may set cookies when you use our website or Platform:
| Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing — Stripe may set cookies to ensure secure payment flows, fraud detection and compliance with payment regulations. | Strictly necessary (for payment pages) |
In merchants' stores within the Platform with which we have a contract, third-party cookies may be used depending on the integrations the merchant has enabled. The relevant cookie and privacy policies of the respective merchant apply to those.
5. Cookie consent
On your first visit to our website you will see a cookie-consent banner that allows you to:
- Accept all cookies — activates all cookie categories (strictly necessary, functional, analytics).
- Reject optional cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set.
- Manage preferences — choose which categories of optional cookies to accept or reject.
You may change your preferences at any time through our cookie preference centre, accessible via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our website.
Optional cookies (functional and analytics) are placed on your device only after you have given your prior express consent through the cookie banner. Optional cookies are not used before you make your choice.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled, in accordance with Section 3.2 of this Policy.

In addition to using our cookie preference centre, you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

In some cases the entity may need to participate in international programmes recognised by the European Commission, which obliges it to apply EU standards.
